Formed in 2002 as Ohio’s only legal, statewide, multi-craft labor-management group, the OCC represents union-signatory contractors and construction labor unions of all trades across the state. Collectively, OCC members generate an annual construction volume in the billions of dollars and, in turn, its companies annually pay tens of millions of hours of payroll taxes to support Ohio’s communities.
The OCC’s primary purposes are to:
- Maintain an active involvement in the community to advance the interests of its members and a skilled workforce, especially as they pertain to restoring and preserving prevailing wage and promoting Project Labor Agreements, and
- Maintain an active involvement in the construction industry’s efforts to promote Responsible Contracting practices. The OCC also works to improve union market share throughout Ohio and increase work opportunities for contractors and members.
